immer Dienstags 17.00-19.00
Helena Hoejgaard, studies contemporary dance in Berlin: „I have
always loved to dance, and I started dancing in a very young age. I remember
how much fun it was to just play and be free while connecting to music which
got your body moving. I love the fact that dance is such an international way
of communicating – even though we don't talk the same language, you can still
feel emotions brought to you by the movement of a body and not by the sound of
a voice. I am very happy to teach the kids in this project – it is such a
simple joy to see them enjoy it. For me, I want to create a safe space for them
to have fun, explore the way their bodies can move, get confidence and a
feeling of succes when they leave the danceclass. Most important is that we
have fun, laugh together and share the joy of dancing all together.“
Céleste de Champfleury, born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 92 and moved here to
Berlin in 2014 to study contemporary dance: "I teach dance, along with two
fellow danes I know through my education program, to children at the
refugeecenter in hohenschönhause since january, and even though it is still
quite new, I can already say that this is one of the best decisions I have
made. this is a weekly experience that brings me so much joy and energy. I love
to dance for many many reasons, and one of them is that it is just so amazingly
fun to listen to good music and move to it! especially if you do it with other
people, it never gets boring! another reason is that when I dance, I can
shut off from all the worries and extra noise that buzzes in my brain all day,
and just land in my body and get in touch with my instincts and emotions.
I learned so much about myself through dancing."
